At Jack in the Box, you have access to some solid vegan options. From lunch to snacks, every vegan should know the fast foods that they can grab on the road.
While you're not going to be able to order a burger, there are some hacks to eating plant-based at Jack in the Box, with or without the bun.
When in doubt, there's a helpful chart on the company website that shows the major food allergens in any product, which can be a quick way to assess whether there's egg, dairy, seafood or meat in something on the menu.
That being said, it's always a good idea to combine a chart like this with double-checking with the restaurant staff and doing your own research.
Now let's get to the vegan options we could find...

A side salad is another menu item vegans can freely enjoy.
Jack in the Box does have salads like the Chicken Club Salad and the Southwest Chicken Salad that you might think of asking for without the meat, but it looks like they're pretty much the side salad with meat, and maybe some cheese.
If you do order a side salad, you'll need to be wary of the salad dressings.
This appears to be the only salad dressing option at Jack in the Box, but at least you know it's vegan.

Here's where you have a few more options to work with.
You can get:
- French Fries
- Seasoned Curly Fries
- Potato Wedges
- Hash Browns
- Spicy Corn Sticks
- Apple Slices (but skip the caramel)
There are also several vegan sauces and condiments to accompany your Seasoned Curly Fries, Potato Wedges and veggie sandwich creations.
Try any of these sauces, dips and salsas:
- Fire Roasted Salsa
- Regular Taco Sauce
- Hot Taco Sauce
- Frank's RedHot Buffalo Dipping Sauce
- Teriyaki Dipping Sauce
- Sweet N' Sour Dipping Sauce
- Grape Jelly
- Strawberry Jam
- Kikkoman Soy Sauce
For the most part, the other sauces do contain some form of animal product. The Barbecue Dipping Sauce does as well.
But you can totally dip your apples into some jelly or jam, or smother your Spicy Corn Sticks in Fire Roasted Salsa or Frank's RedHot Buffalo Dipping Sauce.
You're pretty safe with most drinks here.
You can get any of the following beverages:
- Barq's Rootbeer
- Coffee (no milk or cream)
- Diet Coke
- Diet Dr Pepper
- Hi-C Fruit Punch
- Jumpin' Jack's Splash
- Minute Maid Orange Juice, Lemonade and Apple Juice
You won't be able to order the milk-based Caramel, Mocha or Original Iced Coffee or, of course, things like milk.
And remember, water is also vegan (and good for you)!
