Here are the ingredients for one of the most popular cream of mushroom soups on the market: Campbells.
Ingredients: Water, Mushrooms, Vegetable Oil (Corn, Canola, And/or Soybean), Modified Food Starch, Wheat Flour, Contains Less Than 2% Of: Salt, Cream (Milk), Whey*, Soy Protein Concentrate, Monosodium Glutamate, Yeast Extract, Flavoring, Garlic*. *dehydrated.

Hidden far in the ingredient statement is “cream” and “whey”.
Always keep a look out for these ingredients when trying to identify products that are vegan – especially if they’re “white” and have a cream-based flavor profile.
Do note, that some creamed corns are actually an exception because there’s no cream!
