In this guide, we’re going to answer one simple question: Is Campbell’s Tomato Soup Vegan?
Let’s see the answer…
Is Campbell’s Tomato Soup Vegan?
The answer is yes!
The classic Campbell’s tomato soup doesn’t contain any animal products.
Here’s the ingredient statement so you can see for yourself…
Tomato Puree (Water, Tomato Paste), High Fructose Corn Syrup, Wheat Flour, Water, Contains Less Than 2% Of: Salt, Potassium Chloride, Flavoring, Citric Acid, Lower Sodium Natural Sea Salt, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Monopotassium Phosphate.
There was speculation at one point that Campbell’s soup wasn’t vegan because the company said that they don’t offer vegetarian products or something along those lines.
Digging a bit deeper, they simply said that because there really wasn’t/isn’t a vegan certification.
They cleared it up with this Tweet…
@thefoodbabe V8 100% Veg Juice & Tomato Soup are both vegetarian. No animal products are used. Sorry for any confusion.

So if the ingredients don’t clear it up, then that should! Campbell’s tomato soup is vegan!
Is Campbell’s Cream of Tomato Dairy Free & Vegan?
Unfortunately, Campbell’s Cream of Tomato Soup isn’t vegan because it contains dairy. Among the skim milk, cream, buttermilk, whey, and modified butter – it’s far from an animal-free and cruelty-free brand.
