Equipment

  • Mason Jar

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk (or any other non-dairy substitute, unsweetened)
  • 3 tbsp Plant-based Yogurt (Vanilla or plain)
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 3 tbsp Dried Dates (chopped or whole) pits removed.
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Stevia Extract (optional) (or any other sweetener)

Instructions

  • Start by mixing together the rolled oats and the almond milk in a mason jar.
  • Pour in the almond milk. Make sure that the oats are evenly soaked in the milk.
  • Add in the chia seeds.
  • To sweeten the mixture, add in some stevia extract. Any other sweetener like maple syrup will also do. Adjust as needed.
  • Top the mixture with the dried dates. You can also immerse the dates fully into the oats by removing the pits and mashing them up with the oatmeal. This acts as a natural sweetener.
  • Garnish with some ground cinnamon.
  • Add a dash of salt to taste.
  • Close the jar and overnight the mixture overnight. Eat cold the next morning.
