  • 1 cup rolled oats could also be quick oats if desired
  • 2 whole bananas should be ripe (slightly spotted brown) and sliced into coins
  • 1 cup water or enough to completely cover the oats.
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter use natural-style peanut butter with no added ingredients
  • 1/2 cup soy milk (unsweetened) could also use almond milk.
  • 4 whole strawberries sliced
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes


  1. Place the 1 cup of rolled oats in a bowl. Peel bananas and place on top of the oats.

  2. Pour just enough water to cover the oats. It's OK if the bananas are sitting on top of the oats (as seen in the video).

  3. Microwave for two minutes. This will make the bananas soft and fragrant.

  4. Add remainder of ingredients (including the soy milk)  besides the strawberries and coconut flakes.

  5. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Oatmeal will become super thick and dense.

  6. Garnish with strawberries and coconut flakes.
